Princess Dress-up Corner

I've been thinking about creating a "Dress-up" corner for Malea now that she is getting a little older.  I had seen these great ideas on Pinterest and it got me thinking...

Then just the other day she broke the hat box that her tutus were stored in so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity for me to create a proper "dressing room". :)

I just love this stool that I found at Ross, for only $12!  I let Malea pick the color.

And of course you have to have "princess pillows" in case the princess gets exhausted from trying on all her different outfits. :)

I wanted to get her a mirror but I didn't think she needed a full size wall mirror.  I found this little one and it's perfect for her height.  She loves that she has her own mirror now!

She also loves that all of her headbands are easily accessible now.  She couldn't even keep her cute little hands off of them long enough for me to snap the picture. :)

I think next I'm going to look for some frames so that I can hang her artwork on this wall.  Every princess needs fine art in their dressing room, right?

What do you think?  Do you love it as much as I do?  I love that Malea is getting older and we can actually play dress up now!

  1. Very cool! I never had an area like this as a kid, but I babysat for some VERY lucky kids in Chicago who had two closets in their bedroom, and their mom had used one for clothes, and the other was turned into a dress up closet. The first time I saw it I was immediately brought back to my childhood. Sooo much fun.

  2. Anna, that is really cute. If you have a good spot for a dress up station, the why not make it happen. My two girls, 8 and 4, love to play dress up and that is what they do a lot with the friends who come and visit too.

  3. lovely, ahh... reminds me of my little princess that has now turned into a tween. Now she's all grown up and changing all her favorite little girl toys and bedroom into a more sophisticated toy like:"Justin Beiber, dolls." Everything related to JB.

  5. Love it - wish my little girl was still little. Enjoy every minute of your dress up time - she will grow up way to fast!! An old trunk or old suitcase would be a perfect place to store all her dressup outfits.

  7. So adorable Anna! I created a little dress up area for my daughter too and she loves it. Little girls are just so hilarious about looking at themselves in the mirror...big girls too for that matter. LOL! Thanks for sharing this at Inspiration Friday!
