My project for this weekend was an "Amazing" party. This weekend we celebrated my husband's best friend's 30th birthday!
Our two families love the Amazing Race. We have a tradition that every Sunday night they come over, we make pizza and we watch the show. It's super fun and we always make it a competition to see which of us can guess the winners.
A few years ago Matt {my husband} and Billy {his best friend} sent in an audition tape for the Amazing Race. Unfortunately they didn't get accepted and they were super bummed. So when Heather {Billy's wife and my best friend} and I were trying to think up ideas for our husband's 30th birthdays this year, she thought it would be fun to do an Amazing Race themed party for Billy's birthday!
We have had so much fun planning it and scheming up challenges that they'd have to do. Here are some pictures of the clues I made.
Here are some pictures of the party. I have to give a big thank you to my friend Bethany for taking these great pictures! I had my camera in my pocket all day but was too excited about the race to remember to use it. :)
They LOVED it! They ended up winning the race too {which was not planned}.
Balancing on the Slackline.
Sorting out the clues to make sure the teams had them all at the finish line.
The guys relaxing after a long and hard race.
Heather and I, excited the party was a HUGE success!
The whole crew!
A little croquet during the BBQ.
This is one REALLY happy birthday boy!
Also a big thank you to ChicaandJo.com for all of the great clue printouts! The clues wouldn't have looked as official without them.

What have you've been up to this week?
Party guidelines:
1. Link to a Specific Post, not your whole blog (to do this, click on the title of the post you want to link and it will open on it's own page, then copy that url)
2. Please link up only projects that you have worked on/created: decorating, remodeling, recipes, etc.
3. Grab the party button below - post it on your post, on your sidebar, on a page of a list of link-ups, whatever suites you.
4. Visit a few other people on the list because you know we all love the attention. :)
5. Follow me if you'd like. I always love new friends!!
(Please read the guidelines. I don't want to delete any entries but I will have to if you don't follow the rules. Thank you)
